Forage Areas
These are areas around a lake or pond where geese are tolerated.

The creation of foraging areas is very useful for sites that wish to still keep some resident geese in their lake/pond, but also want the geese to stay out of "nuisance" areas.

Paths that are located in foraging areas are subject to unsightly goose droppings. If a path must cross a foraging area, GeesePeace recommends that that lake or pond landscaper place low (2 feet) fencing on both sides of the path and leave a wide opening in the place most likely to be crossed by the geese. In this way, the droppings will be localized and clean-up maintenance will be easier.

Areas reserved for geese help localize goose activity.
